The Power of Sensor Fusion: Lidar + Photogrammetry

In heavily wooded and complex environmental sites, relying on a single data type leaves blind spots. We deploy a dual-data approach to give your environmental scientists and engineers the complete picture.

  • Lidar (The Structure): Our YellowScan lidar systems emit hundreds of thousands of laser pulses per second with up to three distinct echoes per pulse. This multi-return technology allows the laser to slip through gaps in the leaves and branches, striking the true ground below. The result is a mathematicall verifiable bare-Earth surface model, captured in a fraction of the time.
  • Photogrammetry (The Visuals): While lidar captures the terrain beneath the trees, our high-resolution photogrammetry captures the surface. We generate pixel-perfect, georeferenced orthomosaics that allow your team to identify tree species, delineate wetland boundaires, and conduct visual environmental impact assessments, all without sending crews into hazardous brush.
